David joined Vision Australia in October 2025, bringing with him over 30 years of leadership experience across the disability, aged care and health sectors.
Beginning his career as a practising occupational therapist, David has maintained a deep commitment to connecting with frontline service providers and ensuring clients receive world-class support.
Before joining Vision Australia, David served as Chief Operating Officer at Villa Maria Catholic Homes, where he led a team of 3,000 and oversaw service delivery for more than 11,000 clients across Victoria and New South Wales.
David combines both exceptional professional capability and personal insight into the challenges faced by people who are blind or have low vision, making his connection to Vision Australia’s mission a strong alignment.
A visionary and inclusive leader, David is dedicated to driving Vision Australia’s growth and transformation while keeping accessibility and inclusion at the heart of everything the organisation does.
David resides in Melbourne with his family and is passionate about engaging with team members, volunteers, clients and partners to shape the future of Vision Australia.
