When a child is diagnosed, everything changes

When a baby or young child is born blind or diagnosed with low vision, families are often overwhelmed. Yet these early months and years are when support matters most. The Visionary Donor Circle exists to ensure children and their families receive immediate, specialist support at the moment it is needed most.

Why early intervention matters

The first five years of life shape everything that follows. With the right support, children who are blind or have low vision can:

  • Build confidence and independence
  • Develop communication and mobility skills
  • Thrive at school
  • Grow up believing anything is possible

Without early intervention, these foundations can be delayed – sometimes permanently. Your generosity helps bridge the gap before other systems step in, ensuring no child is left waiting during the most important years of development.

Supporting children at every stage

The Visionary Donor Circle strengthens Vision Australia’s Children’s Services, helping children and young people build the skills and confidence they need to navigate life.

Members can support services across key stages of development:

Early Years

Building the foundations for learning, independence and family confidence.

Primary School Years

Supporting social development, independence and positive peer relationships.

High School Years and beyond

Preparing young people for leadership, further education and career pathways.
